Pi Zero always On-The-Go

a USB-OTG Hack

If one needs to connect different devices to a Raspberry Pi Zero but want's to use just one USB port one can use an USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable.

These USB adapter normally come with an USB socket, but if one needs an other connector the easiest solution would be to bridge the “OTG” pin to ground on the Pi Zero board itself.
This small hack goes like that: solder a wire between the USB sense pin PP40 (of USB J10) and the ground pin PP6 on the Raspberry Pi. That way every USB cable on the USB socket J10 (not “Power In”) act like an OTG cable.
